The Deadliest Mudslide on Record — In History 🪨 1970 Huascarán Debris Avalanche — Peru, May 31, 1970 • On May 31, 1970, a magnitude ~ 7.9 earthquake struck near Huascarán — a massive mountain in the Andes of Peru.
