Anterior lens dislocation The lens is the natural lens of the eye, responsible for focusing images. It is normally held in place by thin fibers called zonules. When these zonules break or weaken, the lens can move out of position. In this case, it has moved in front of the iris, into the anterior chamber: we call this an anterior lens dislocation. This displacement can cause: - Sudden increase in intraocular pressure (secondary glaucoma). - Inflammation inside the eye. - Significant visual loss.
