Christian Watson | 1924us on Instagram: "I started drawing Mr Skelly as a fun little exercise of animation. It has grown into a phenomenon I could never have dreamed of. With that come many beautiful blessings, and such heart-wrenching challenges. What started as a little reflection of life, turned into an effort to rebrand death away from fear and into the magical, and that turned into a point of gathering for grieving people all over the world. Christian Watson | 1924us on Instagram: "I saw this quote the other day and just knew I had to pair it with some Mr Skelly. Everything we think is important, literally all of it, has almost no value if we cannot be honest with ourselves. Or simply if we can’t be honest altogether. If we can’t be who we are, truly, then everything else we attempt to build will be on faulty foundation. If you might lose something simply by being who you are, well, chances are it might not have been worth holding o

My names Christian and I’m the artist behind Mr Skelly, a skeleton that represents a more life-filled, less angry approach to death. I hope so much good comes from it in your life, in whatever little way possible. Miliony osób pokochały jego niezwykłe spojrzenie na życie. Teraz Mr Skelly trafia do książki.

Christian Watson | 1924us on Instagram: "A slight break from Mr Skelly, and a remembrance of one of the first animations I tried to do… puzzled and fixing myself. It takes time to put yourself together. Time to figure out what steps to take next. You do not need to know the answers to these things right now. The will not come overnight. Sometimes things in our lives fall apart to prevent us from doing so. Some things we see as catastrophes, may be miracles that just need a little time to grow. #

Christian Watson | 1924us on Instagram: "Back Before Mr Skelly lost his Lower jaw! There’s so many fun things that happen with art, and you all are and have been witnesses to the birth and growth of a character. I’ve even got the amount of ribs he has down to a science now. But like all things they take work, tinkering, figuring it out, what parts make something, real? Looking back at the old iterations the power of what Mr Skelly is remains the same, even as he’s fully developed into a very rea
