“A Return to Love” was the first book I wrote, and when it came out my hope was that it would sell enough copies that I wouldn’t be totally embarrassed. Today it’s been published in 21 languages. The paragraph with the quote “Our deepest fear is not that we are an in adequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure” is in “A Return to Love.” I guess I’ll never know how it got singled out - it’s not its own separate poem in the book or anything like that - and even misattributed
