Rogers Lane, a then-dirt road on the edge of Lawton, Oklahoma, became the final resting place for a man whose life—and death—would leave more questions than answers in the early morning hours of July 21, 1982. Just after 7:00 a.m., a passing motorist traveling along Rogers Lane, the road that separates Lawton from Fort Sill, noticed a body lying near the shoulder.
