I had the chance to visit John Muir Elementary to drop off goodie bags for the amazing Walk & Roll volunteers and to see firsthand how they’re making walking and biking to school fun and safe for students. John Muir was the first school in Martinez to launch a Walk N Roll program. Perched at the top of a hill and kicking off on a rainy day in November 2024, success wasn’t guaranteed and yet they exceeded all expectations with 172 participants on launch day, the highest participation at the time.
