It's been 6 years since Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasi crossed the coast as a Category 5 system near Mission Beach, between Cairns and Townsville. Causing widespread destruction, Yasi remains one of the most powerful cyclones to have affected Queensland since records began, with wind gusts of up to 285 km/hr.
