Black and shades of gray make up a large part of the primary color palette of the Mercer digital brand. These colors are used to create breaker moments throughout the site that allow the white and orange to feel elevated and engaging.

The Mercer wordmark serves as the University’s primary logo and is considered the “master brand.” It is to be used for all institutional branding, marketing, communications and promotional purposes.

Mercer’s primary, approved visual identity marks are the Mercer University wordmark; nameplates for each of the 12 academic units that incorporate the wordmark; and the University seal. The primary athletics mark is the Block M logo with the bear head.

Black is another prominent color in the logo. It is used to symbolize power, independence, a sense of control, and inner strength. The white color creates a nice contrast while remaining a relatively neutral element. The logo features a bold font with thick, blocky slab serifs.
