McGorty, 26, earned seven state titles at Corning-Painted Post and was a four-time All-American at Stanford. She runs professionally for PUMA and on July 12 won section 3 of the women's 1500 at the Sunset Tour in Los Angeles with a personal-best of 4:08.53.
