England's Davina Perrin and Trudy Johnson starred in a commanding eight-wicket victory over the USA in the U19 Women's T20 World Cup. Perrin hit 74 off 45 balls, while Johnson contributed with both bat and ball.

Australia opened their Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup with a dominating nine-wicket win over Scotland in the Group D game in Bangi, Malaysia. Fast bowler Caoimhe Bray starred with figures of 3 for 1 in 3.

Australia fell short in the inaugural event in 2023 in South Africa, pipped by England in the semi-finals, but their chances seem stronger this time, led by their 19-year-old captain, Adelaide Strikers' quick Eleanor Larosa, who started with an impressive 3-7 off three overs.
