The horror thriller series “Teacup” has been canceled at Peacock after just one season, Variety has learned. The show was inspired by the Robert McCammon novel “Stinger.” It was originally picked up straight-to-series at the NBCUniversal-backed streaming service in 2022 and debuted in October 2024.

We may only be a few weeks into this year, but there are already some shows that have been canceled in 2025. A few streamers have already made moves in that regard, and Peacock just became the latest.

According to a Variety exclusive, Peacock has canceled the horror series after just one season. Premiering in October 2024, Teacup was one of two new horror shows released by the streaming service alongside Hysteria!
