Wales' Elfyn Evans finishes in second place at the opening round of the World Rally Championship (WRC) season in Monte Carlo, while Josh McErlean completes his debut.

M-Sport Ford's Josh McErlean finished an impressive seventh on his WRC debut as Toyota's Sebastien Ogier made a perfect start to the season with a record-extending 10th Monte Carlo Rally victory on Sunday.

The Frenchman said after the race he was unsure whether he would return in 2026 to try and notch up an 11th win in the foothills of the Alps.
