Michigan football has been recruiting very well as of late, but there's one position that has not quite reached its potential on the field -- wide receiver. The Wolverines did see two receivers get drafted last year in Roman Wilson and Cornelius Johnson,

Michigan finished with the No. 6 recruiting class for the 2025 cycle after landing five-star offensive lineman Ty Haywood on Wednesday to solidify its class. The Wolverines have a star-studded class coming into the fold with three five-stars signed.

The Michigan Wolverines were fairly active in the transfer portal, adding 12 transfers on top of their stellar 2025 recruiting class. The prize of their portal haul was former Alabama five-star recruit running back Justice Haynes.

With Haywood in the class, he joins five-star OT Andrew Babalola, four-star OG Avery Gach, and three-star center Kaden Strayhorn as part of the 2025 offensive line haul.

Not too long ago, one of the top 2026 prospects spurned both Michigan and Ohio State and committed to Illinois. Victor Singleton, an Ohio native, might have started a trend for Ohio recruits to go play for the Illini.
