Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, missed his first 2025 Summer League game against the Golden State Warriors. However, he did play in their win against the Miami Heat on Sunday.

There is no evidence that the NBA drug tested Bronny James after his athletic dunk on Sunday in Summer League action. Technically, he could've been, but the testing program is supposed to be random.

LeBron James accomplished one of his stated career goals last season, and it was perhaps one of his most impressive. In his 22nd season, James was able to suit up and play alongside his son, Bronny, for the Los Angeles Lakers. And after picking up his player option last week it seems James will do so again in the 2025–26 campaign.
