Comfort, a town along the Guadalupe in neighboring Kendall County, reportedly had siren warning systems and has not reported a single death from the July 4 flooding, according to NBC news.

Kerr County, Texas, could again see heavy rain and flooding this weekend, only a week after thunderstorms unleashed deadly flash flooding there and in central parts of the state.

“Move to higher ground now,” some of the alerts said. “Act quickly to protect your life.”
