Mumbai: The five arrested accused refused the ₹1 crore contract for Baba Siddique's murder after hearing his name. Despite being offered a significant amount, the accused backed out due to Baba Siddique's influence and reputation.

Mumbai police are investigating the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique. They have issued a lookout circular against three suspects, including Shivkumar Gautam, Shubham Lonkar, and Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar,

The five arrested individuals are alleged to have provided logistical support and firearms to those who eventually carried out the shooting.

A week after Baba Siddique was killed, his son MLA Zeeshan Siddique's photo was recovered from the phone of one of the accused in the attack.

The police said that all constables from the protection branch deployed to guard Baba Siddique are being questioned to determine the reason for their 'inaction.'
