WASHINGTON — The US has resumed sending military aid to Ukraine after President Trump reversed a decision by the Pentagon to stop shipments of weapons the war-torn country needs to defend against Russia’s intense aerial assaults, according to US and Ukrainian officials.

CNN was first to report that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth did not inform Trump before he ordered the pause last week in order to conduct a review. On Tuesday, when asked by a reporter who ordered the pause, Trump, who was sitting next to Hegseth, said “I don’t know, why don’t you tell me?”
