Former New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera and his wife Clara Rivera have been accused of covering up child sex abuse within their church, the Refuge of Hope.

The Yankees pitcher and his wife are named in a suit that says a young girl was assaulted at properties connected to a church they helped found and at their home in Westchester County, N.Y.

The bombshell lawsuit, which was viewed by The Post, was filed last week in State Supreme Court in Westchester County.

Mariano Rivera and his wife, Clara, are not defendants in the suit, but are blamed for covering up alleged sexual abuse of a girl from their church.
