Namport and the University of Namibia this week signed a three-year agreement worth N$3.7 million to conduct a comprehensive study of the health and biodiversity of the Walvis Bay Lagoon ecosystem.
Namport Chief Executive, Andrew Kanime said plans to construct the Walvis Bay Waterfront and Marina have been put on hold because of the ongoing development of the new oil and gas industry.
