Three hotel workers were found dead Tuesday in northeastern Japan after conducting routine maintenance on a hot spring source in a mountainous area of Fukushima.

FUKUSHIMA—Three hotel employees were confirmed dead on Feb. 18 in the snowy mountains of the Takayu Onsen area, where high concentrations of toxic hydrogen sulfide gas hindered the search for the missing men.
