A federal judge late on Thursday issued a temporary restraining order against President Donald Trump’s recently signed executive order banning Harvard from admitting foreign students. U.S. District Judge Allison Burroughs’ order is an extension of a previous order issued against the administration in May after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) attempted to revoke Harvard’s eligibility to host students on foreign visas.

The same federal judge also extended her block on another attempt by the administration to stop the university from issuing student visas.

A ban on foreign nationals coming to study, teach, or do research at Harvard University ordered by President Trump was temporarily paused by a federal judge in Boston after the school filed an amended motion.
