With 120 losses, White Sox join ’62 Mets for most defeats in modern MLB history
There was an inevitability to tying the 1962 New York Mets for the most losses in modern baseball history, which they did Sunday with a 4-2 defeat to the San Diego Padres. And because of that, at least among this group of players, actually reaching the unfortunate threshold of 120 losses seemed to carry minimal extra weight.
