Small, translucent creatures — known as sea cherubs — are washing up along Oregon beaches, and more sightings are occurring in 2025 than usual, according to Seaside Aquarium.
Sea cherubs, or Cliopsis krohni, are about the size of a nickel and can take down prey that is triple their size.
The case is one of five lawsuits being brought by 22 states and a number of immigrants rights groups across the country.
