Peter Yarrow, the singer-songwriter who was one-third of the folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary, has died at age 86, his representative confirmed to ABC News.

Peter Yarrow, who died Tuesday at age 86, has long denied that the famous song “Puff, the Magic Dragon,” was about drugs.

The family of Peter Yarrow have paid tribute to their "fearless dragon", referencing the song he wrote and performed with Peter, Paul and Mary. Along with his folk trio bandmates - Noel Paul Stookey and Mary Travers - Yarrow had huge success in the 1960s.
