Philadelphia Phillies reliever Tanner Banks shared a clubhouse with Chicago White Sox center fielder Luis Robert Jr. as Chicago teammates for parts of three seasons.

Phillies starter Cristopher Sánchez had given up just six runs in his last 44 1/3 innings when he took the mound at Rate Field on Monday night. He had allowed only four runs over four starts in the entire month of July.
