A dog is dead after a Lansing police officer shot them while making an arrest of a man in connection with a larceny complaint.

Lansing police shot a dog dead after being bitten while arresting a larceny suspect with an outstanding warrant. Officers were injured but later released from the hospital. The incident occurred during a traffic stop on South Francis Avenue.

This comes after LPD said in a post on Facebook on Saturday that they are aware of a video being shared on social media showing the incident.
