Lady Gaga stays in character on Harlequin. It’s her companion to Joker: Folie a Deux, inspired by her role as Harley Quinn. But it’s a luxuriant album of jazzy swing, mostly standards, right in her sweet spot.

Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Lady Gaga announced new music to accompany her upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux. Harlequin is "a companion" to the Joker sequel starring Joaquin Phoenix . The album drops Sept. 27, and it features 13 songs. Tracks include "If My Friends Could See Me Now," and "Happy Mistake."
