OAKLAND, Calif. — Yankees manager Aaron Boone was hopeful that Juan Soto would be good to go the day after he slammed his left knee into the concrete base of a foul-territory outfield wall Thursday at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.

Juan Soto was originally in the lineup for Friday night's game against the Athletics but was pulled out after reporting soreness and swelling in his left leg. Manager Aaron Boone said X-rays were negative.
