Vanderbilt fans throw goal posts into river after upset of No. 1 Alabama
Vanderbilt fans commemorated the Commodores’ historic 40-35 win over No. 1 Alabama by storming the field, tearing down the goal posts. They weren’t done. Fans carried the goal posts out of FirstBank Stadium in Nashville, found their way to Broadway before throwing their prized possession into the Cumberland River.
