President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have berated Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Ukraine’s leader sought security guarantees as the U.S. tries to bring an end to the Russia-Ukraine war.

Before President Zelensky arrived at the White House, President Trump - who waited briefly outside before greeting his Ukrainian counterpart - was asked by a reporter if he felt it was going to be a good meeting. Trump gave no words in response, and flashed a thumbs-up instead.
