The new temple would face the Salt Lake Valley to the east, with the spire on the same side. The rendering showed a structure very similar the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple, less than 10 miles away.

The Las Vegas Planning Commission is set to vote Tuesday on an item regarding the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ temple being built near Lone Mountain in northwest Las Vegas.
