The National Weather Service confirmed Tuesday that a tornado touched down in the Mattoon area of Shawano County.

Two tornadoes touched down in western Shawano County Monday night, the National Weather Service has confirmed.

Mattoon, about 20 minutes south of Antigo, had tree and power lines down across town with some poles even being snapped.
