Nigo is here. Well, he’s always been here. The legendary designer has been a cornerstone of modern sneaker and streetwear culture for decades, studying under fellow icon Hiroshi Fujiwara before launching A Bathing Ape—Bape, for short. Maybe you’ve heard of it.

The upcoming Air Force 3 marks the beginning of what Nigo has described as a “long and exciting journey” which will take inspiration from the pop culture that the designer indulges in. Judging by his famous home in Tokyo, we can expect everyone from Homer Simpson to Andy Warhol to be referenced in the future.

Images shared by @Horhead_sales show an early look at a previously unseen Nigo x Nike Air Force 3. Much like the inaugural makeup, this latest style appears to once again reference pop culture with Planet of the Apes possibly being the inspiration for this pair.

The Nigo x Nike Air Force 3 will drop alongside a full apparel collection, and will be available on September 28 at Otsumo Plaza in Tokyo, Human Made, and the “I Know Nigo 2” pop-up in New York City. A much wider release will then follow a few days later on October 4, where it'll launch on Nike, the Snkrs app, and select stockists globally.
