The Spanish city of Valladolid has hosted one of the most quirky events around the world recently, a massive jigsaw puzzle competition with participants from all over the planet.

For many people, jigsaws are a relaxing low-energy pastime, but at the World Jigsaw Championships competitors are speed building for trophies.

The winner, a 30-year-old woman from Norway, took just 37 minutes to complete a tricky puzzle featuring tigers.

The four-day event in Valladolid in Spain gathers 3,500 of the best puzzlers, working individually or in teams, for the chance to be crowned champion.
