The Customs cited the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) as a reason for the blockage, which DJI says is part of a broader initiative by the Department of Homeland Security to scrutinize the origins of products, particularly in the case of Chinese-made drones.

The U.S. government is stopping imports of some DJI drones from entering the U.S., the Chinese drone maker told Reuters on Wednesday. In a previously unreported letter seen by Reuters, DJI notified distributors that U.

US Customs and Border Protection is apparently blocking some of the imports over concerns the drones were made with forced labor. But DJI says it has evidence denying this.

"The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has cited the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA), as the reason for the current holdups," the DJI ViewPoints team wrote. "This assertion made against DJI, however, is entirely unfounded and categorically false."
