Pogacar shows he's a fantastic Tour winner, but gets dropped by van Aert on Montmartre
Wout van Aert brilliantly won the 21st and final stage of the Tour de France. The Belgian rider from Visma | Lease a Bike had gone all out on the last stage of the Tour and succeeded, beating none other than Tadej Pogacar on the cobblestones to Montmartre and crossing the finish line on the Champs-Elysées solo.
Last year’s Tour concluded outside Paris for the first time since 1905 because of a scheduling conflict with the Olympics, with the final stage held in Nice. The Champs-Élysées returned this year for the conclusion of the 3,320-kilometer (2,060-mile) race.
