With the Los Angeles area already reeling from two wildfires, a third broke out Tuesday night in the north end of the Valley.

Firefighters in the San Fernando Valley are responding to a brush fire in Sylmar as crews in Pacific Palisades and Altadena battle other brush fires that have triggered evacuation orders in their respective areas.

A nearly 600-unit apartment portfolio in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley has traded hands in one of the region’s largest multifamily deals over the past year in terms of number of units.

Firefighters say that the fire is moving with a "rapid rate of spread," prompting evacuation orders for some Sylmar residents.

Multiple fires continue to burn in Southern California, including the Hurst Fire in Sylmar. FOX 11's Mario Ramirez spoke to an evacuated resident.
