More than two weeks after Hurricane Helene, school systems in western North Carolina were still struggling with lack of water and damage. Schools are not set to reopen until the end of the month. NBC News' Kathy Park reports.

North Carolina is wading through a deluge of unemployment insurance claims in the wake of the devastation to the western part of the state from Hurricane Helene.

It's never been done before, but the odds say it's plausible, as three of the four NFC North squads are currently favored to make the playoffs, and one is on the cusp.

For the first time since realignment back in 2002, the NFC North is the first division in which all four teams have at least four wins through the first six weeks of the season. The NFC North is off to a historic start.
