A man killed near the Mississippi River in Minneapolis was a 19-year-old from St. Paul, the medical examiner’s office said Monday. Darnell Hawkins Mapp was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the area of North Mississippi Drive and North Lyndale Ave after officers responded to a shooting report about 3:10 a.m. Sunday. Police, while investigating, found a man injured on the 4500 block of Lyndale Avenue North. Investigators say he had driven himself to that area after he was shot. The man was taken to the hospital with a "potentially life-threatening" injury, according to police.
