The Miami Dolphins and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick have agreed to a two-year deal that guarantees him about $17.5 million this season while giving the club salary cap relief. The contract converts his 2025 salary into a signing bonus while sliding $2 million up from his 2026 deal to the 2025 season.

The Dolphins revised Fitzpatrick's contract to pay him a $16.245 million signing bonus, thereby guaranteeing that amount for this year. Now, Fitzpatrick's camp can turn their attention to talks on a long-term extension with Miami.

Additional years were not added the revised deal, but Fitzpatrick's agent Drew Rosenhaus said they were comfortable with what they got done and have plans to hopefully work on a multi-year extension.
