BMW Teams Up With Toyota For The iX5's Hydrogen Powertrain
BMW will bring a hydrogen-powered X5, called the iX5 to market in 2028. The powertrain, per a report by Autocar, will be co-developed with Toyota, an automaker with decades of experience in hydrogen fuel cell technology. If BMW is to partner with anyone on its long-running hydrogen ambitions, Toyota is a pretty perfect choice. But, will it matter?
