By moving high-profile rivalries like UT-Vandy into the shadow of March Madness, the SEC showed how little it thinks about its baseball audience.

The father of current Tennessee Volunteers quarterback, Joey Aguilar, has thanked former Vols quarterback Nico Iamaleava.

The building is expected to be complete in 2029, and its hefty $199 million price tag is predominately paid for by the state of Tennessee.

This semester, the campus welcomed 40,421 students on campus and online since classes began Aug. 18. That includes 7,143 first-year students in the class of 2029, the largest freshman class ever with students arriving from all 95 Tennessee counties, 46 states plus the District of Columbia, and 33 countries.

Georgia and Tennessee became an annual matchup when the league expanded in 1992. The constant back and forth elevated it into a rivalry.

The Georgia Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers are just days away from their 2025 matchup and are looking to win their ninth consecutive matchup against the Volunteers. As the Dawgs prepare for their 2025 SEC debut, here is what history suggests about the matchup.

Police converged on the University of Tennessee at Knoxville campus Aug. 25 in response to a report of a gunman at Hodges Library, but found no threat. A university spokesperson and Knoxville police told Knox News it turned out to be a false report, one of six at four universities across the country beginning Aug. 21.

The Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Bulldogs matchup will feature a new wrinkle and will end a seven-year streak in the series.
