Light flurries and cold temperatures created slick roads and caused several crashes in the southwest suburbs. A man died in a crash on the Arsenal Road bridge in Elwood.

The semi-truck had difficulty moving on the snowy, icy road. The wind and the ice made it difficult for vehicles to move quickly, with the truck barely staying in control.
