At least nine tornadoes have been confirmed in Texas following the severe storms that swept through the state Sunday.

Tuesday night storms hit much of the state, but eastern sections saw strong enough conditions to generate two individual tornadoes, the NWS reports.

Severe weather on Aug. 8 could include damaging winds, large hail and even a couple tornadoes, forecasters said.
