Ewan McGregor recalls filming the iconic lightsaber scenes with Liam Neeson and Ray Parker in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

The Phantom Menace is widely viewed as not only the weakest movie in the prequel trilogy, but arguably the worst Star Wars film ever released.

The Naked Gun actor played Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn in George Lucas ’s prequel Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) – but his character perished in a lightsaber duel with Darth Maul.

Asked last year about possibly making a full-blown Star Wars return, Neeson said, "I enjoyed very much being with Ewan and George Lucas on The Phantom Menace. We shot that 26 years ago!

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace was originally supposed to feature a massive twist ending that would’ve re-defined the franchise.
