Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux responded to the potential deployment of the Louisiana National Guard to his city. The mayor highlighted a 43% decrease in homicides from last year, crediting the Shreveport Police Department. He suggested talks between local, state, and federal officials to find long-term solutions like increased police pay.
