Hoping to tighten up his throwing motion for the 2026 season, Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed has been taking notes on this former Heisman Trophy winner turned NFL star.

Reed’s decision to jump the fence came immediately after his win at the Dubai Desert Classic, a DP World Tour event with a loaded field including Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, and Viktor Hovland. Two weeks later, he won the Qatar Masters.

Patrick Reed became one of the few players in Masters Tournament history to log two eagles in the same round of the event, and he did it within the first eight holes of Augusta National's first nine on Thursday, April 9.

Reed, the 2018 Masters champion, eagled the par-5 second and par-5 eighth to take the early lead at Augusta National.

Reed is a dangerous force at Augusta National, where he won a green jacket in 2018, finished third last year, tied for fourth in 2023, tied for eighth in 2021 and tied for 10th in 2020.
