Detectives arrested Castillo on July 25 after she discarded a can in a public garbage can. The can had multiple positive DNA matches to several items that were found at the scene.

Stephanie Castillo, 36, was charged with six counts of murder and manslaughter for the November 9, 2020, slaying of her newborn twin babies.
