On this Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, a new flag is flying on an old flagpole with an incredible story behind it.

The American naval base at Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japanese forces on December 7, 1941, leading to thousands of lives lost.

Five survivors attended Thursday's commemoration at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial to honor their fallen comrades.
