Ironheart on Disney+ has introduced some Marvel Comics characters that, in the grand scheme of things, are relatively recent. One of them is the Hood, a villain who first appeared in 2002.

This all results in a character with a fundamentally confusing history — a history deliberately muddled by the creators themselves, seemingly designed to low-key gaslight the fan base.
